How to Paint a Mountain
|
| This
tutorial is written for PSPX but you may try
it on an earlier or later versions. |

You will need Paint Shop Pro
Software. Get a trial version at Corel.com |

We need to sketch a mountain first. Canvas size
400x400, foreground color #2e3034. Grab the paint
brush size 2, hardness 10, step 1 density 100,
thickness 100 rotation 0, opacity 100. Sketch a
mountain on the canvas.

Magic
Wand to select anywhere inside the image.
Selections, Modify, expand by 1. Paint Brush,
size 20. Paint brush the top edge of the image. |

Push brush size 36, hardness 10,
step 51density 64, thickness 26, rotation 89 opacity
100. Push the
paint downward covering the whole mountain. Keep it
selected. |

| Notice some light specks on the
mountain above? We will push those white specks to make
ridges. Like the ones on the left.
Change the push brush size to 12, hardness 10, step
1 density 64 thickness 26, rotation 89, opacity 100.
Carefully push the specks upward or downward
depending on how you want to look the mountain.
Leave some dark spots for the shadow sides of the
ridges |

| Reduce the
push brush size to 6. Slightly push the light color
from the ridges down. And that's all. You have a
mountain! |

You can add trees, grasses or snow
on the mountain or leave it bald. See the mountain
with grasses
and with snow below. |
