How to Paint a Landscape

Brighter Colorful
First of all, I would like to remind you that I am not a painter.  I just like to challenge myself.  So whatever turns out with  my painting is just a rough image of what I can do with PSP. Now let's start.
Open a canvas size 600x450 transparent. We will start from the top of the canvas and work our way down. First we need to create a sky. You may follow my Sky and Clouds Tutorial.

Selection tool, rectangle. Make the top half of the canvas selected and flood fill with color #8d90b1.
Deselect. Make the bottom half selected and flood fill with #d9dcef.

Push brush size 30, round, hardness 12 density 20 thickness 100 rotation 0 opacity 20.

Push the lighter color to the darker color. Increase opacity to 30 and push the lighter color again to
the darker color.

Increase the opacity to 50 and push it again for the 3rd time. Play around with it until you achieve the
desired look.

Let's paint some clouds on the sky. Airbrush size 3 color #ffffff hardness 100 step 42 density 52
thickness 100 rotation 0 opacity 100. Draw lines on the edge of the clouds as shown below.

Push brush size 10, round, hardness 10 step 1 density 30 thickness 100 rotation 0 opacity 50. Grab
the base of the line and brush it in a circular movement.

Airbrush size 3, color #ffffff hardness 100, step 4 density 52 thickness 100 rotation 0 opacity 100.
Draw some highlights on the clouds.

Push brush size 10 round hardness 10 step 1 density 30 thickness 100 rotation 0 opacity 50.
Slightly push the lines on the edges of the clouds
