This image is mouse drawn and painted in PSP7 using mainly airbrush and smudge options.
Open up a canvas size 400x400 transparent. Click on tool options/ preset shapes and choose tear. Set your colors syles and fills to #C00000. Draw a tear on the center of the canvas. Convert the tear to raster layer. Click on the lasso and select the tip of the tear as shown below. Cut the the tip off of the tear and deselect.
Make the image selected clicking on the tool option/ selection/ type=rectangle, feather=0, and antialias checked. Click the airbrush tool and set your color to #FFFFFF. Settings below. Slightly aibrush the entire image. See airbrushed image below.
Then click on tool option-retouch, settings below. Smudge the entire image using downward and upward strokes, living just a little tint of red on the center of the image. See smudged image below.
Click on the tool option-freehand and outline the petal with white. Then click on too option/retouch same settings but reduce the smudge size to 11 and slightly smudge the line by using a downward stroke just to soften it. See image below.
Click on tool option-airbrush, same setting but reduce the brush size to 7, color white. Draw a curl just inside the tip of the image. Then tool option/smudge, same settings but reduce the smudge size to 7. Slightly retouch the curl to soften it. Click on tool option/freehand. Outline the curl then tool option/smudge and retouch to soften it. Do more retouching if necessary and you're done. Just put stalks and leaves and leaves. Finished image below.
