Lets put some decorations to that stocking. Click on the prest shape tool and choose elipse. Change the fg color to black and bg color to #D1A636. Draw a small elipse for buttons. Convert to raster layer and make the elipse selected. Click on the EFFECTS/ 3D EFFECTS/ CUTOUT use the same settings above but change the shadow color to #8C5252. Click on preset shape tool and use the elipse again. Change your colors to black. Draw 4 tiny elipses for a button holes. Apply a drop shadow on the those 4 elipses. Drop shadow settings OFFSETS VERTICAL 1 HORIZONTAL 2, ATTRIBUTES OPACITY 36, BLUR 0, COLOR #FFFFFF. Click on the Draw tool and choose point to point, and draw an x mark touching the holes on the button. (colors red and green) Merge the layers visible. Cut the button and paste it to the same canvas. Make 4 more copies. Save one copy for the reindeer's colar . Your buttons should look like the buttons below.



Place the buttons on the tip of the triangles on the stocking and add a drop shadows. Merge all the layers. Make the image selected by drawing a rectangle selection around it and click on it to make it selected. Now lets add some stitches on that stocking. Click on your draw tool (pencil image) from the tool bar. Change to point to point. Change fg color to #C00000. Draw stitches as shown on the semi-finished stocking below. Don't forget to convert each lines you draw to raster layer. After you drew all the lines, merge all the layers visible and then cut and paste the image as a new raster layer to a new open canvas. Close the old canvas.



Make the image selected again and apply CUTOUT. Use the same cutout settings above. Minimize this canvas and open up another canvas.
