We'll draw the hooves first. Click on preset shape tool and choose elipse. Change your colors to #65493E. Draw a small elipse and convert to raster layer. Change your colors to #C39759 and draw a second elipse on top of the first elipse drawn. Node the second elipse as show below.



Convert to raster layer. Make the elipse selected and apply cut out. Deselect. Settings below.



Merge all the layers. Cut and open your stocking canvas and paste the hoof as a new layer. Paste it twice. You might want to resize it if its too big.

Lets go back to the other canvas and draw the head of the deer. Click on preset shape tool and choose elipse. Change your colors to #AC5D3B. Draw an elipse in between the hooves. Convert to raster layer. . Change your colors to #DF8E2D and draw another elipse on top of the first elipse. Click on nodes and node the 2nd elipse. See image below.



Convert to raster layer. Click on the 1st elipse and make it selected. Apply cutout, use the same settings just change the vertical offset to 1. Do the same thing to the 2nd elipse. Lets put a nose. Preset shape tool, change your colors to black and draw an elipse right on top of the 2nd elipse. Convert to raster layer. Make it selected and apply inner bevel, twice. Deselect.Settings below.



Lets use the letter "J" for the mouth. Click on text and choose Prime Minister of Canada font. If you dont have that font you can use the "Eurostar" font. Convert to raster layer. Copy and paste it and then mirror imaged it. Draw the eyes. Draw the hearts for the cheeks. Put little dots on the cheeks. Your image should look similar to the image below so far. Cut and paste the head to your stocking canvas.



Lets draw the ears. Change your foreground color to black and background color to #AB5D3B. Click on Draw tool/ freehand. Freehand draw an ear and convert to raster layer. You might have several tries to get the perfect shape for ears. Change your back ground color to #DEAB94. Draw an inner ear. See the image below. You might want to resize it. Merge the layers. Cut and paste it to the stocking canvas.



Ok now lets freehand draw the horns. Change your fg color to black and background color to #715245. Freehand draw a horn similar to the image below.



Make the horn selected. Click on airbrush tool. Foreground color to white. Add a new raster layer. Apply an airbrush on the tips of the horn. Settings below.



Merge the layers cut and paste it to your stocking canvas. Draw a collar on the deer and add the extra button you saved earlier and your done. Congratulations! I hope i didnt confused you too much on this tutorial but I enjoyed doing the tutorial with you.
