PSP 9 Painted Hibiscus

Tools you need:

PSP 9 get it at Jasc.com.  Try it for 30 days.

I freehand drawn the outline which you can download it HERE.

 Go to PREFERENCE/general preference and change the shadings and transparency to both  black or whatever color you prefer to use for a background.  I used black so it should show the colors more.

Open up the outline you just downloaded. We are going to paint the petals one by one.
Click inside the petal to make it selected. Click on Selections/Modify/Expand it by 5.

You can either use the mixer palette or just cut and paste the color number I've used in the tutorial.

Set your foreground color to #b00e09. Click on Flood fill bucket and flood fill the petal with that color. Keep it selected. Add a new raster layer.

Click the airbrush. Set the foreground color to #cd6010. Settings below.

Click the above setting for a clearer image.

Apply airbrush as shown below. (figure 1)


Click on smudge brush. Settings below


Click the above setting for a clearer image.

Smudge the airbrush using an upward, then downward strokes. Keep smudging until you
get the right result. See the image below (figure 2).

Merge the layers visible. Deselect.

Add a new raster layer. Repeat the same process to all the remaining petals.
