PSPX Tutorial Menu

  You must have a good working knowledge with PSP program to do this tutorial.

You will need a Paint Shop Pro X. Get a trial version from Corel
SuperBladePro. Visit Flamingpear
Download my SBP embroidery preset and save it to SBP environment and texture file.

You need a decorative fonts. It can be dividers, corners or anything decorative that you can convert to lace. I made my own lace from brushes and a little touched up. You may download these images to use for the tutorial or use your own.

Open a canvas size 400x400 transparent. Open your lace image and paste it on the
canvas, 2x. Arrange the laces. Merge visible. Click on layer palette and name the
image as "lace1". Resize your image if needed.

Make your image selected. Click on Selections/ Modify/ Expand by 12. Add a new
raster layer and name it "lace2". Flood fill with black.

Selections/ Modify/ Contract by 5. OK. Hit Delete.

Add a new raster layer name it "lace3". Flood fill with white. Move this layer to the
bottom. Deselect .

Go to your layer pallette and click on "lace1". Click on magic wand and click on the
holes you want to cut out.

Click on "lace 3" and hit DELETE. This will delete the selected part of the image.
Deselect.  Your image should look similar to the image below

Make the "lace1" selected. Brushed with white color. Click on
Effects/Plugins/Flaming Pear/ Superbladpro. Locate my embroidery preset. Click
OK.

Make the "lace2" selected. Brushed with white color. Click on Effects/ Plugins/
Flaming Pear/ SuperBladePro/ elena's embroidery preset and press OK. Deselect.

Make the "lace1" selected. Effects/ Plugins/ Flamingpear/ Superbladepro. Apply
embroidery preset. Click OK.

Merge all the layers visible. Add drop shadow and you're done!

This image looks different from the other one. I adjusted the shape , radius and height.

I flood fill with gradient on this one to make it look like colored embroidery thread.

I brushed this one with mixed pastel color then applied the embroidery preset. I adjusted the shape, radius and height to get this image.
