PSP Christmas Bear Tutorial |

You will need a
Paint Shop Pro program. Get a trial from corel.com
You need to to do the Bear Tutorial before you can continue this tutorial.
If you've already done it then let's start. |

Open the bear file. Pen tool/ foreground and
fill color to #ffffff. Freehand draw the round image part of
the hat on the right side corner of the image. Convert to
raster layer. Smudge brush/ size 4/ hardness 50/ step 10/
density 100/ thickness 100/ opacity 100. Smudge the image to
give it a furry look.
Make the image selected and Click on
Effects/ 3D Effects/ Cutout. Settings: Vertical and
horizontal 2/ opacity 70/ Blur 20/ shadow color #000000.
Deselect.

Click the "b-head" layer. Pen tool/ Freehand/ foreground and
fill color #c000000. Freehand draw the cone part of the hat.
Edit the nodes and convert to raster layer.
Hide the background. |

Effects/ Plugins/ Greg Factory output volume II/ pool
shadow. Play around with the settings until you get the
right result. Make the layer selected and apply Cutout,
settings: Vertical and Horizontal 2/ Opacity 50/ Blur 25/
shadow color #000000. |

| Pen
tool/ Freehand/ foreground and fill color #ffffff. Freehand
draw the image. Edit the nodes if necessary. Convert to
raster layer. |

Smudge brush/ size 4, use the same setting. Smudge the image
to give it a furry look. Make the layer selected and apply
cutout, use the same settings. |

|
Preset shape/ ellipse/ foreground and fill color #c000000.
Draw an ellipse covering the round bear-body.
Hide the arms/ hand/ legs and feet. Click on the body
suit. Make the body-suit layer selected and apply cutout.
Change the Opacity to 80 and Blur to 100. Deselect. |

Preset shape tool/ rectangle/ foreground and fill color #ffffff.
Draw a rectangle on the suit. Turn the rectangle slightly to
the right. Convert to raster layer. Smudge tool/ size 4, use
the same setting. Smudge the rectangle to give it a furry
look. Make the layer selected and apply cutout, opacity
50/ blur 10. DESELECT.
Preset shape/ ellipse/ foreground and fill color #000000.
Draw 3 little ellipses on the rectangle. Convert to raster
layer. Click the lighten/ darken brush/ size 4. Apply
highlights on the ellipses.

Preset shape/ rectangle same color. Draw a rectangle for the
bear's black belt. Edit the nodes and convert to raster
layer. Change the foreground and fill color to #ffffff. Draw
a small rectangle for the bear's belt buckle. Convert to
raster layer. Merge the layer down. |

Unhide the b-left-leg. Pen tool/ Freehand. Draw an image to
cover the bear's leg. Edit the nodes and convert to raster
layer. Make the layer selected and apply cutout/ opacity
80/ Blur to 40. DESELECT. |

Preset shape/ rectangle/ foreground and fill color to #ffffff.
Draw rectangle. Turn the rectangle the right. Edit the nodes
and convert to raster layer. Smudge brush/ size4, use the
same settings. Smudge the image to give it a furry look. |

Make the layer selected and apply cutout,
opacity 50, blur 10. DESELECT Unhide the bear's foot and
sole. |

|
Unhide the right leg. Click to highlight it on the layer
pallet. Pen tool/ Freehand/ foreground and fill color
#c000000. Freehand draw the image to cover the right leg.
Edit the nodes and convert to raster layer.
Make the layer selected and apply cutout/ opacity 80/
Blur to 40. DESELECT. |
