Preset shape>rectangle>size 2>foreground-background color white. Draw a rectangle on the center of the canvas.

Edit the nodes.

Add 4 nodes above the rectangle and 4 nodes on the bottom. Edit nodes as shown on the screen shot.

Convert the image to raster layer. Make the rectangle selected, add a raster and flood fill with any background you desire depending on what type of card you are making. I am making an Easter card.

Adjust the opacity to 50 from the layer palette. Deselect and merge the layer down .

Airbrush tool, size 50, color #85c9ef, settings below. Make the image selected. Add a raster layer and airbrush the top part of the image. Change the foreground color to #67881d, and airbrush the bottom part of the image. See the screen shot.

Adjust/ blur/ Gaussian blur 12. Then adjust the opacity to 70. Deselect. Merge the layer down

Now let's add some images on the card. I will add some spring images, mainly bunnies from my tutorial. You may use tubes of your own or any images you wish to use for this tutorial.

Cut and paste each image to the card cells. Use the deformation tool to angle or to resize the images to fit in the card. .(Press D for deformation tool, then hold the shift key down and drag the corners either upward or downward.)

After you added all the images, hide the background and merge the layers visible.

Make the image selected. Selections>Modify>Contract by 4. Selection>Invert. Add a raster layer and flood fill with white. Deselect and merge the layer visible.

Now lets put some text or message inside the card. We will use the text on the path. See text on the path tutorial.

Pen tool> point to point>size 3> color black. Make a point to point line across the 4 folds. Add 3 nodes on the folds. Drag the first and the first and the 3 nodes slightly up Press the shift key down and click the 3 nodes on the center. Right click>node type> Symmetric.

Text tool>create as floating. Point your mouse on the line. When you see this . Right click the mouse. Type your text and hit apply. Cut the floating image and paste it as a new layer. Delete the line.

Pen tool>point to point>size 1>color black (#000000). Add a vertical line for inside folds. Convert to raster layer.

Change the color to white, size 2 and add vertical lines for outer folds. Convert to raster layer. Adjust> Blur > Gaussian Blur 1. Merge the layers visible. See screen shot.

Selection tool>rectangle. Select the second fold from the left and adjust>brightness and contrast -55. Select the second fold from the right and adjust brightness and contrast -55. Deselect.

Check your image, if you are satisfied with what you see then merge all the layers visible. Save your image and you are done.   End of Tutorial
