Silver or Gold Goblets Tutorial

This Tutorial is written for PSPX but can be tried on the earlier or later versions.  It requires a KPT5 Collection.  See Corel.com. 

Download my Goblet Presets and  extract it to your KPT ShapeShifter presets.

 

Open a canvas 500x500/ black background. Change the foreground/ background color to #ffffff. (white) Preset shape tool/ ellipse. Draw an ellipse on the center bottom of the canvas. Convert to raster layer.  Make the ellipse selected by using the selection tool/ rectangle. Add a new raster layer. Click  Effects/ Plugins/ KPT5 collection/ KPT5 Shape Shifter. Click on "silver-gold-goblet" and click on the second block. OK

Selections/ Modify/ Contract 1. Selections/ Invert. Then hit delete. (This will erase the jagged edge)

  Preset shape tool/ Rectangle. Draw a rectangle above the elipse. Add 5 nodes. 2 nodes on each sides and 1 on the bottom. Hold the shift key down then click on the added nodes one by one. Then right click the mouse and point on node type and click on Symmetric. Edit the nodes to reshape the curves. Convert to raster layer.  

 
  Make the layer selected. Effects/ Plugins/ KPT5/ Shapeshifter. Choose the "silver-gold-goblet" presets. Click on the second block. Change the bevel size to 32%. OK Selection/ Modify/ Contract  1. Selection/ Invert then hit Delete. Deselect.  
  Preset shape tool/ ellipse. Place an ellipse above the image. Convert to raster layer. Make the ellipse selected. Apply KPT5. Change the Bevel Scale to 15.0% and the Bevel Height to 25 %. OK.  Selections/ Modify/ Contract 1. Selection/ Invert then hit Delete. DESELECT  
 

 
Preset shape tool/ rectangle/ Place a rectangle above the image. Add 3 nodes. One on each side and 1 on the bottom. Hold the Shift key down and click on the 3 nodes one at a time. Right click the mouse and point on node type then click on Symmetric. Edit the nodes and convert the image to raster layer.

Make the image selected and apply KPT5. Change the Bevel Scale and Height to 25%. OK.  Selection/ Modify/ Contract 1. Selections/ Invert. Hit Delete. DESELECT.

 
  Preset Shape/ Ellipse. Place an ellipse above the image. It's ok if it goes over the canvas.  

 
 

   Pull the top node down to the center.  
  Add nodes on each corner. Edit the node and convert to raster layer. Make the image selected and apply KPT5. Choose the FIRST BLOCK preset. Change the Bevel Scale to 100 % and the Bevel Height to 25 %. OK. Selections/ Modify/ Contract 1. Selections/ Invert. Hit   Delete. DESELECT  

 
 

  Preset shape tool/ Ellipse. Place another ellipse above the image. Edit the nodes and convert to raster layer. Go to the layer palette and move the layer down.  
Make the layer selected. Add a new raster layer. Effects/ Plugins/ KPT5/ KPT Gel. Click on
environment map. Your environment maps should open. If not, then you need to go to your Program
Files/ Corel/ PSPX/ and then Environment Maps. Locate the Christmas ball.
 

Use this brush size 220/ brush flow 15%/ Brush Blending 100% . Brush horizontally once. And then use the   hand to pull from the center to the right and then to the left.

Selections/ Modify/ contract 1. Selections/ Invert. Hit Delete.

Preset shape tool/ ellipse size 6. No background color. Place an ellipse on the rim. Convert to raster layer. Make it selected. Apply KPT5. Adjust the KPT bevel and height. OK. Selections/ Modify contract 2. Selections/ Invert. Hit delete. Deselect. Merge the layers visible. Save your image.
