Valentine Bear Tutorial |

| You will need a PSP program
to do this tutorial. Get a trial version at corel.com.
SuperBladePro at Flamingpear.com (optional) You also need to download these files to go with the tutorial.: Heart and Lace Save this file to your brush file or just open the file and use it as it is and Balls and Bubbles Preset Extract this file to your PSP Presets. |

| If you haven't done my Bear Tutorial, it's a good time to do it now before you do this tutorial. Don't forget to save it in psp format before merging the layers visible. | ||||
| Let's start.
Open the bear file. Click the b-head layer. Change the foreground and fill color to #000000. Pen tool/ reehand. Freehand draw the hat. |

| Edit the nodes and reshape the image.

|
|||
| Preset shape/ rectangle/
foreground and fill color #b71118. Place a rectangle on the hat.
Turn the rectangle to the right. Edit the nodes and convert to
raster layer. Make the hat band selected. Effects/ 3D Effects/ Cut out. Settings: Vertical 2, Horizontal 2, Opacity 75, Blur 12, Shadow color #421712 and no interior fill. OK |

| Click the Lighten/ Darken Brush size 20,
Hardness 50, step 10, density 100, thickness 100, opacity 100. Run
the brush on the center of the band. OK DESELECT.
Go to the layer pallet and merge the band to the hat. |

| Click on the "b-body". Pen tool/ foreground and fill color to #ffffff. Free hand draw a shirt for the bear. Edit the nodes and convert to raster layer. |

| Hide the bear arms and
hand. Airbrush tool size 22, hardness 20, step 10, density 50,
thickness 100, opacity 40, color #000000.
Add a raster layer and airbrush around the sides and slightly on the neckline. |

| Adjust/ Blur/ Gaussian Blur 10. Make the shirt selected, click on Selections/ Invert then click the airbrush layer and hit DELETE. This will delete the excess paint. Merge the layer down. |

| Now highlight the "b-head". Change the foreground and fill color to #000000. Pen tool/ freehand. Freehand draw the bow. |

| Edit the nodes and convert to raster layer. Preset shape tool/ rectangle. Add a small rectangle on the center of the bow, convert to raster layer. Merge the layer down. Lighten/ Darken brush, run the brush through the bow to give it a little highlights. |

| Click back on the shirt. Preset shapes/ ellipse. Add 2 ellipses on the shirt for buttons. Lighten/ darken brush size 4. Brush a highlights on the buttons. Merge the layer down. |

|||
| Unhide the right arm. Pen tool/ Freehand/ foreground and background fill #ffffff. Free hand draw the righ-arm sleeve. |

| Edit the nodes and convert to raster layer. Airbrush tool/ size 20/ color #000000. Add a new raster layer. Airbrush around the shirt. Apply Gaussian Blur 8. Delete the excess paint. Merge the layer down. DESELECT |

| Selection tool/ freehand/ make a rectangle freehand selection on the sleeve. See screen shot. Effects/ 3D effects/ inner bevel. Settings below. Click on Lighten/ Darken brush and run the brush through the center of the selection to give it a silky look. Add drop shadow/ settings: horizontal 1, vertical 1, opacity 29, blur 4, color 4. DESELECT |

| Unhide the left-arm. Preset shape/ Freehand/ foreground and fill #ffffff. Freehand draw the left sleeve. Edit the nodes and convert to raster layer. Unhide the left hand. Click on Airbrush tool/ size 10. Airbrush around the sleeve. Adjust/ Blur Gaussian Blur 6. Delete the excess paint. Merge the layer down. DESELECT |

| Selection tool/ make a freehand selection on the sleeve. Apply inner bevel. Apply Lighten/ Darken. Use all the same settings. DESELECT |
