Plastic Storage Bag in PSPX

 

  You will need Eyecandy3.1 and download my selections if you want or just follow the instructions below.  
 
Open a canvas 800x800/ transparent. Flood fill with black or any background image you desire.
Gather the images that you want to put inside the bag and paste it on the center of the canvas. Add a
new raster layer. Selections/ Load Selection from disk. Choose the plastic-bag.. Click on the
Picture Tube and search for the clouds. Flood fill the selection with cloud.
 
 

Effects/ Plugins/ EyeCandy 3.1 or higher/ glass.

 Effects/ Plugins/ Greg's Factory Output Vol II/ Pool Shadow. OK.

Click on Mesh Warp Tool. Mesh Horizontal 8/ Mesh Vertical 7. Adjust the nodes on the center. Make sure to not disturb the edges.

After the mesh wrap tool rendered, go to the layer palette and merge the promoted selection down.

Adjust/ Brightness and contrast to Brightness-80/ Contrast 0. Go to the layer palette and reduce the
opacity to 30. At this point the content of your bag should be visible.

 

Click on pen tool/ Freehand/ size 2. Draw lines around the image. Edit the nodes and convert to
raster layer. Go to the layer palette and reduce the opacity to 50.

(Or add new raster layer and use the selections/ Load Selection from disk/ choose the
plastic-bag-edges. Add a new raster layer and flood fill or paint it with white. Go to the layer
palette and reduce the opacity to 50) Deselect.

Pen tool/ size 2. Point to Point. Draw a line at the top of the bag. Edit the nodes. Convert to
raster layer. Change the foreground color to yellow. Draw another line below it. Edit the nodes and
convert to raster layer.

(Or use the selections/ Load selection from disk/ choose the plastic-bag-topline1. Paint or flood fill
with color of your choice.

Add a new raster layer/ Selections/ Load selection from disk/ choose the
plastic-bag-topline2.sel. Paint or flood fill with color of your choice. Deselect.)

Click on the bag. Click on selection tool/ rectangle. Draw a rectangle selection just below the yellow line. Click on Effect/ Texture Effects/ Texture/ locate the fine canvas texture. OK

Pen tool/ point to point/ size 16. Draw a line below the textured area. Edit the node and convert to
raster layer. Change the foreground color to your choice. Change the pen size to 12. Draw a line
over the yellow line.

(Or add a new raster layer/ Selections/ Load selection from disk/ plastic-bag-topline3.  Paint or flood fill with the color of your choice. 

Add a new raster layer/ Selections/ Load selection from disk/ plastic-bag-topline4.  Paint or flood fill with the color of your choice. 

Click on Effects/ Texture Effects/ Blinds. Width 5/ Color Black/ Opacity 30/ Horizontal and Light from
left/ top checked.
Click on the bag. Click on selection tool/ rectangle. Draw a rectangle selection just below the yellow line. Click on Effect/ Texture Effects/ Texture/ locate the fine canvas texture. OK ( see settings above)
Make another rectangle selection just below the textured area. Add a new raster layer and flood fill
with white. Go to the layer palette and reduce the opacity to 40.
You may colorized the plastic bag if you wish.  I colored mine with a light blue.  Adjust/ Hue and Saturation/ Colorize. Hue 139/ Saturation 50.
Go to the layer palette/ hide the background/ click the layer above it and merge all the layers visible.
You now have a plastic storage bag.
